Update: 1969 Camaro

Happy Friday! It has been such a beautiful week...and, you guessed it, another busy one here at the shop! I'm a bit late with today's blog post, my apologies! However, I do have a good excuse! I went with Reggie to a local swap meet to help search for a few odds and ends for the 1969 Camaro project. And now we're back to enjoy the Cruise-In! The weather couldn't be nicer! So swing on by! Yes, we've been working on BMWs this week, but I want this post to focus on the Camaro! Reggie has spent a great deal of time dressing up the engine, and we're so close to installing it, along with the transmission! Let's dive right into things! Here are the highlights and how the engine looks as of right now. Then below, you can watch a quick slideshow with more orange eye candy!   If you check out our Facebook page, you probably saw the exciting news that the transmission arrived on Monday morning! We were elated!

While the transmission waits a bit longer on the sidelines, Reggie got to work putting some finishing touches on the engine: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes He also installed new brakes: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes   Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes   More work on the engine: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes   Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes   A look at the new water pump: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes Paint is removed from the area where the water pump will be installed: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes Isn't she lovely? Sit back, relax, and take a look!   Many of you may have heard that we had a fire at our home last Friday afternoon. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and willingness to help in any way. We are doing well, all things considered. Lucy is staying with family (thanks, Mom + Dad!), and Lola, our cat, has found a temporary home here in the office. She seems to like it here! She's never been away from home, but has adjusted pretty well! And she's pretty stoked about making her first appearance on the blog! ;)

If you're looking for fun car stuff going on this weekend, check out Mecum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds! And I'd like to wish Reggie a very Happy Birthday on Sunday! He's the best friend and husband I could have ever dreamed of! I love you, Reggie! xo
