We hope that everyone had a very happy holiday with family, friends, good food and lots of cheer! We did a bit of traveling to spend time with family, and are now back at the shop here in Noblesville to finish up some projects before officially ringing in the New Year. 2011 has been a great year for Reggie’s Motorworks, and we have you, our wonderful customers and friends, to thank for it! We can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store!
A few weeks ago, we attended the Hoosier BMW CCA‘s annual holiday dinner at the beautiful Country Club of Indianapolis, and had a wonderful time! We saw several familiar, friendly faces, and got acquainted with some new friends who love BMWs just like we do! The festivities included assorted appetizers, libations, dinner, dessert, a short meeting, club elections, and a plethora of door prizes. Thank you to Jerry and Tami for planning such a fun event!
Despite this short week, we have a shop full of great cars to work on! Let’s take a quick look at some of the goings-on, shall we?
Remember this M30 from a few months ago?
Well, she came back to the shop after suffering a front end accident. Not to worry, the driver and passengers were all fine, thank goodness! As for the bimmer, well, she was in need of some repairs. Each and every customer has their own level of repair that they would like, and in this case, this customer desired a budget crash repair. After all, this car is kind of a hot rod, and was ready to get back on the road to have some more fun! Once the bimmer came back from the body shop, it was time for the radiator to be replaced.
Upon pressure testing it, Reggie had noticed it was lightly damaged in the accident. There were some pinholes where the radiator bumped into the water pump during impact. The radiator is out of either a 5- or 6-series.
Once the radiator was removed, Reggie discovered some damage on a hose that had been rubbing on the A/C compressor, so that will be replaced as well.
And here’s the new radiator:
This 1989 BMW 325ix came to the shop for a suspected fuel leak and a consignment consultation.
Here Reggie is testing the 4-wheel drive system:
This 1985 1/2 Porsche 944 is in for diagnostics. What a sweet ride!
Reggie’s brother just purchased this 1995 BMW 540i to use as a parts car for a 1995 BMW 525i.
That’s all for this week! We would like to wish you a very safe and Happy New Year! Here’s to 2012!
