Happy Friday! It’s been a busy week at the shop to say the least! And winter may be making an early arrival, because the snowflakes have been flying outside all day! Let’s dive right in and take a look at a few of the bimmers that have been in the shop this week!
A 1984 BMW 733i came to the shop with a few problems. Namely, it wasn’t running. Furthermore, she was not getting any spark.
Reggie removed the old fuel pump and replaced with a test/used one before opting to just spend money on a new one to make sure this fuel pump is the culprit. This 7-series has two fuel pumps: one is located in the fuel tank to pump fuel out; the other pressurizes the fuel system.
Here, Reggie is diagnosing this bimmer’s no spark issue:
This 1987 BMW 325 overheated last week, so the owner brought her in to have some other work done while diagnosing the overheating issue: oil change, timing belt, water pump, and some other miscellaneous work.
Reggie checked all the tire pressures since one of the tires was a bit leaky.
Spraying some soapy water on the tire helps to find the troubled area:
Since the bonnet needed to be realigned, Reggie removed it for the timing belt and water pump work in the engine bay:
Reggie replaced the cam seal – many of the seals were dry and in need of replacement:

After all the belts have been replaced, Reggie re-installs the air box and the radiator:
As Reggie added oil, I referred to it as “liquid gold” which made him chuckle:
This 3-series was in need of some fresh coolant as well since the old thermostat looked a bit nasty:
Originally, a rough running issue brought this 1985 BMW 325e to our shop.
Reggie installed the correct spark plugs for this bimmer. He also did some fuel injection cleaning.
And he replaced the control arms:
This e90 2006 BMW 330xi had some suspension parts replaced as well as an alignment.
This cool Midnight Blue Metallic 1987 BMW 535i will get a new ignition switch:
More to come next week! Have a great weekend!
