Happy Novem-bimmer!

It's a beautiful day! And you know what that means...a good night for a Cruise-In! October flew by, and we're already on the second day of November! As they say, time flies when you're having fun! The shop has been one fun - and very busy! - place this week. Let's dive right in! This sterling silver 1990 BMW 325i came in with a worn out engine. Needless to say, that engine is being replaced. And she's being converted from an automatic to a 5-speed! Sweet!   Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, MercedesReggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes Here is a look at the automatic transmission and worn out bottom end: Reggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, MercedesReggies MotorWorks | Repairing BMW, Audi, Mercedes On the left is the new drive shaft. You'll notice that it's longer than the driveshaft for the automatic transmission on the right. Why is one longer than the other? Good question! The 5-speed transmission is shorter than the automatic one, thus a longer driveshaft is needed to account for that. It was a bad leak, causing cooling hoses to fail. The water pump had also failed. She's on the road to recovery now!
