Fuel Coffee in Cincinnati
Happy Friday! We’ve got a cool event to share with you this week. Reggie and I took a weekend trip to Cincinnati to hang out with some fellow enthusiasts, the 2002 kind in particular. Each spring and fall they put together a spirited drive throughout the city and into the green hills of Kentucky. Our route was just under a 100 miles, with a stop at a state park in the middle, followed by a delicious lunch at local German favorite, The Hofbrauhaus. We could not have asked for better weather or for a more scenic landscape. On Saturday, we gathered at a cars and coffee meet up at Fuel Coffee, owned by the very guy and his wife that organized this event. There were so many great cars and even greater people! The vibe was cool, laid-back, and very welcoming. We highly recommend the biscuits and gravy and the Grogg! (The mocha frappe is awesome too!) After hanging out for a bit, those of us going on the drive set out on the road. Reggie is a fantastic driver, however, I’m not the best passenger! I really wanted to take some photos while we were en route, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me this time! The rolling hills, blue skies, and rustic landscape were perfect for our spring jaunt. And before we knew it, we had arrived at our destination…a mere 3 miles from where we began! We truly enjoyed spending time with these fellow enthusiasts, several of whom we catch up with each year at The Vintage, through events like this, and through the group Reggie belongs to on Facebook. Thank you to our hosts, Jason and his wife, for their hospitality – and for introducing us to Jungle Jim’s!
