Bring on the Mini Coopers and Bimmers!

Hello and welcome to the blog! We hope you enjoyed a festive 4th of July holiday!  Let's cruise right to the good stuff!

Check out the black sapphire metallic 2006 BMW 530xi on bags (air suspension)! She came in for diagnosis for starting issues, replacement of rear hatch strut, registration of battery to DME, replacement the Intelligent Battery Sensor, replacement of lower radiator hose, and removal and resealing of the panoramic sunroof due to leaking.


Next, this chili red 2009 Mini Cooper S came in for a timing chain replacement due to being stretched.  The oil pan was removed to extract pieces from broken timing chain guides. She got a new battery and a broken windshield cowl piece removed.


This e30, a 1991 BMW 318i in sterling silber metallic, came in for replacement of the driveshaft, transmission mounts, shifter mount, and right/front tie-rod assembly.  And with a brake fluid flush,and an alignment, she was ready for the road.


This 1998 cosmos schwarz metallic M3 came in for a bit of work. Replace faulty auxiliary fan assembly that was causing A/C issues, check. Brake fluid flush, check.


Biannual Service and diagnose of oil leaks were on the list for this 1992 BMW 325i cabrio.


Diagnosis and repair of a damaged PT-CAN Data Bus, due to electrical issues, brought this dark silver 2010 Mini Cooper S to the shop.


In our last blog post, we revealed the project that Reggie is working on. He’ll be participating in the HPDE (High Performance Driving Education) at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway in August, hosted by MORPCA (Mid Ohio Region Porsche Club of America), and was in need of a track car.  The course he'll be on is the Grand Prix track, which means he'll get to cross the brick start/finish line!  Now back to the part about needing a track car.  Enter this e30, a 1990 BMW 325is. If you follow our Facebook page, you probably saw photos of the little critter who made his home under the hood!  The last time I visited the shop, I got to see the old engine being removed (below). She was a stock M20 B25.  Since then, Reggie has been busy prepping the new engine, an S52 B32 from a 1998 M3, and other parts.  He'll be keeping the OBDII with custom tuning by Active Autowerke. The bimmer will get new ground control coil overs, a 5 lug swap with e36 M3 brakes, all new polyurethane bushings and various weld-in reinforcements from AKG Motorsport, and cooling system, steering rack conversion, and A/C lines from Zionsville Autosport
