Happy Friday! It's a cold, snowy day here in Noblesville, Indiana! This sort of weather is to be expected, we are in the good ol' Midwest, of course. We've kept plenty busy and warm in the shop this week, so let's dive right in to some of the action! First, this 2008 BMW X3 came in for an oil leak. She got a new oil filter housing gasket, as well as new belts and tensioner pulleys:
Next, this 2002 BMW X5 3.0 came in with a massive oil leak. She also had some belts replaced, as well as the engine air filter and cabin air filter.
Next we have a pretty rare bimmer - 2005 BMW 545i with SMG! I had to ask what the SMG meant. Basically, this bimmer shifts like a manual but without a clutch! How cool is that?! She came in for her 100,000 mile service, new differential fluid, new water pump and thermostat, as well as belts and pulleys.
Speaking of rare, this 7-series, a 2001 740il, had a coolant leak through the electrical connection at the thermostat, which wicked up the wiring and into the ECU! John has heard of this rare issue, however, this is the first time he has ever seen it in 20 years! Wow!
In addition to this issue, a new radiator, water pump, and thermostat were in order.

Reggie served on the board of the Hoosier BMW during 2012, and this year, he was elected Vice President. Over this past weekend, he traveled to Detroit, Michigan, along with a few board members to attend a regional conference. Attendees had some free time after meetings had been adjourned, so they headed to the North American International Auto Show
for some fun! The following day, a few attendees visited the Henry Ford Museum
. Enjoy the following slideshow of what caught Reggie's eye at both venues:
Have a great weekend!
