Last weekend was filled with great people, yummy food, and cars....lots and lots of cars! We had a tremendous Open House, and we have all of you to thank for it! We had 28 registered cars for the Show 'n Shine, as well as several cars that just came for fun. Sean spoiled us again this year with his handiwork at the grill, including his wonderful stuffed jalapenos! He also cooked up authentic German sausages, while Kyle brought in his family recipe potato salad, which was the perfect side dish! Top that off with imported pickles, an assortment of chips, and German chocolate cake, yes please!
Here are some photos from the day, and a slideshow with more! Join us this evening for our weekly Cruise-In starting at 6pm! Reggie fabricated the Best of Show trophy, which was a big hit! And we're pretty sure some of the parts used to make this came from the winner's cabrio!
This 2002 came all the way from Bloomington! Hi Dennis! :)
Love this pretty 635csi!
Another beauty from Bloomington! (Hi John!
) We also had a alpineweiss M3 drive up from there too! (Hi Ian!
Congratulations to Kyle for winning that coveted trophy for Best of Show!
And Andrew won "Best Beater" and a photo session for his e28! We've already got some cool locations in mind, so stay tuned for photos from that!

It has been a busy week at the shop, so let's get right down to business! Reggie spent some time preparing Sean's track car for Putnam this weekend by doing a tech inspection and some other odds and ends. Below, Reggie is fabricating and customizing seat brackets so that a passenger seat can be installed:
This sharp e30 cabrio came to the shop for a post-purchase inspection. What a nice bimmer!
A new differential and new coolant reservoir were on the list for this hellrot 1996 BMW 328is:
This 2001 BMW X5 was in need of a new air filter and serpentine belt. Her mechanical tensioner was converted to a hydraulic one. And she got a new DISA unit, which is the variable intake running control actuator.
This bimmer was just purchased and driven back from Florida for a post-purchase inspection. A customer of ours has been in search of this very bimmer for quite some time, and to say he's excited to have found it would be a grand understatement! On the list for this 1991 BMW 325i: interior seat repairs, all new fluids, fix small coolant leak, new valve cover gasket and spark plugs, new rear axles, new rear sub-frame mounts, and new front strut mounts, just to name a few items.
If you came to our Open House, hopefully you got the opportunity to meet our technicians, Sam (pictured above with the hellrot 328is) and John (below). We are lucky to have them on our team!
And not just any color would do...this coupe had to be gletscherblau-metallic! Check and mark!
Also in the shop this week (not pictured) were the following, just to name a few: *2004 BMW 325ci with very low miles (oil change) *2002 VW Beetle GLS (timing belt, water pump, and electrical issues) *2006 BMW 330i (oil change) *e39 (ABS module) Did I mention it's been a busy week? And because I'm running out of time, and I've made this post a bit long, we'll hold off on photos from the Forest Park Car Show and final photos of the 1969 Camaro. Thanks again to everyone who attended the pre-Open House detailing party
and the Open House - we love what we do, and we love our customers! We'd be remiss if we didn't thank Nick for all of his help in preparing for our event - thank you, Nick! And thank you to Sam and John for all of their hard work as well! Thank you to Sean for slaving over a hot grill on such a warm day! You are the best! And thank you, Kyle, for the side dishes! We truly appreciate it! To Reggie - you have been such an inspiration to me! You are hard-working, dedicated, passionate, creative, driven, and talented. You have come a long way since first getting started in that pole barn, and you've never taken for granted where and how you started because you are humble and believe in hard work to get what you want in life. I'm so, so, SO proud of you! I love you so much!
