Happy 4th of July + More from Our 8th Annual Open House!

Happy 4th of July Eve!  It’s been an unusually cool day, especially in the heart of the Midwest…in July!  Honestly, it feels pretty nice after spending a week in Florida with the temperatures in the mid-high 90s plus humidity!  I’m sure that weather is coming this way at some point this summer, however, we’ll just take delight in the cool summer temps for right now!  Before we dive into more photos from the Open House, we’ll take a look at some of what’s been happening in the shop this week.
This sweet 2001 immolarot II M Roadster came in for her Inspection 2 service, along with a valve adjustment, replacement of VANOS bolts, new radiator hoses, new belts, and a brake fluid flush.  She only has 45,000 on the clock!

Philipp got to work on parting out this 1984 BMW 745i, a rare e23 European turbo.  There are some parts that are still available, such as the panels which are in German and the engine, whose condition is unknown, unfortunately.  If you or someone you know is in need of parts for their bimmer, give us a call at 317.773.0074!

Next, this lapisblau e30, a 1987 BMW 325, came in for quite a list of work, including a timing belt job with new oil seals, water pump and thermostat, valve adjustment, new radiator and hoses, new engine mounts, new rear subframe bushings, new control arm bushings, new drive shaft, an alignment, rebuilt shifter, door lock repair, leak repairs in the fuel system, power steering system, and brake lines, etc.  She also got a new set of windshield wiper blades.

And we’ll wrap things up with this carbon schwarz metallic 2003 BMW M3.  She came in to have the VANOS bolts replaced and the VANOS resealed.  She also got a valve adjustment and an alignment.  And as you’ll see below, she had some rear subframe mount damage repaired and subframe reinforcement kit installed.

As we mentioned last week, we had an outstanding turnout for our 8th Annual Open House!  Again, thank you to all who continue to support this thing that we love, which is serving our customers and their beloved cars!  We’ve met so many wonderful people over the years, and we want to thank you for pushing us to be the best we can be!  And we’d just like to thank our RMW crew for all of their hard working in making the shop look fantastic, both before and after the event!  We would also like to thank Big Hoffa’s BBQ for the delicious food!  And, of course, a huge thank you to Sean for grilling his famous stuffed jalapeños, and to Kyle for sharing his wonderful German potato salad! Last but not least, thank you to the awesome vendors who donated door prizes!  Ok, I think that covers it!  For the full gallery of images, be sure to check out our Facebook page and tag your cars!

As we finished cleaning up after the event, we saw this awesome Isetta take a lap through the parking lot!  We hope you come back to see us again soon!!!
